Veterinary Assistant (Integrative Service)

Our newly remodeled facility features two specialized departments: one focused on traditional veterinary medicine and the other on holistic and integrative care, including acupuncture, chiropractic therapy, and advanced natural treatments.

We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant (Integrative Service) whose primary home will be our holistic and integrative department. In this role you will work more independently with patient care under the direction of the veterinarian, providing prescribed therapies and helping manage patients through their treatment plans.

Because we are a small hospital where most team members cross-train in multiple positions, you will also have the opportunity to work on our conventional side, based on interest and demand.

Your Responsibilities

• Work more independently with patient care under the direction of the veterinarian
• Provide prescribed therapies as ordered by the veterinarian and carry them out according to the treatment plan
• Take an active role in patient management, including monitoring patients during therapy sessions, tracking progress, and keeping records current
• Communicate with clients about their pet’s therapy visits and follow-up care as directed
• Report changes in patient condition or response to therapy to the veterinarian promptly
• Assist the veterinarian during integrative exams and treatments
• Provide gentle, attentive handling, restraint, and routine care of patients
• Keep therapy and treatment areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Receive hands-on training in the integrative therapies we offer

• We are a small hospital, and most team members are cross-trained in multiple positions
• You will have the opportunity to work in our conventional department, depending on your interests and demand
• Cross-training may also include front desk, client services, and other roles throughout the hospital

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred, but not required
• Genuine interest in holistic, natural, and integrative approaches to animal health
• Self-motivated and dependable when trusted to work independently
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow treatment plans accurately and keep good records
• Calm, gentle, and patient with animals and their owners
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to cross-train and assist wherever needed to support the team

Compensation & Benefits

• $15–$20+ per hour, based on experience and production
