For more than 60 years, Angel Animal Hospital has proudly served the Springfield community with compassionate, high-quality veterinary care.

Our newly remodeled facility features two specialized departments: one focused on traditional veterinary medicine and the other on holistic and integrative care, including acupuncture, chiropractic therapy, and advanced natural treatments.

We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant (Conventional Service) whose primary home will be our traditional medicine department. Because we are a small hospital where most team members cross-train in multiple positions, you will also have the opportunity to work on our integrative/natural side, depending on interest, aptitude and demand.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Provide gentle, attentive care and handling of patients
• Support routine animal care, including feeding, cleaning, and restraint as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam and treatment areas
• Assist with front desk and administrative responsibilities when needed
• Work collaboratively with the team to support efficient clinic operations and excellent patient care

• We are a small hospital, and most team members are cross-trained in multiple positions
• You will have the opportunity to work in our integrative/natural department, depending on interest, aptitude and demand.
• Cross-training may also include front desk, client services, and other roles throughout the hospital

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred, but not required
• Passion for animal health and a desire to learn and grow
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate team player
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to cross-train and assist wherever needed to support the team
• Openness to learning about holistic and integrative veterinary care

Compensation & Benefits

• $15–$20+ per hour, based on experience and production
